Ryan has nowhere to spend Thanksgiving, so his best friend Kyle takes him home. Kyle’s mom, Lexi, is cooking the big dinner.
The house splits in two. In the living room the men watch football. In the kitchen Lexi is busy with the meal, and she keeps calling Ryan away from the sofa. The conflict is all in that short walk between the sofa and the stove: Kyle is his closest friend, Kyle is in the next room, and the woman calling him is Kyle’s mother.

Football in one room, dinner in the other
The story runs over five episodes, all built around one holiday at one family home. Episode 1 lasts 1:08 and sets the scene with autumn decorations, a pumpkin on the coffee table and a roast turkey on the counter.

The closing scene is in the kitchen. From about 0:52, by a sunny kitchen window, the grey-sweater man is right next to Lexi, one hand at her waist. She smiles up at him, and the episode ends on a close-up of her face. Nothing more happens in episode 1.
