Prince, queen and king
Prince Theron returns to his father’s palace and learns that the king has a new wife. Queen Lysandra is no stranger to him: he has seen her before, in his dreams. The dreams turn out to be shared, and they draw the two of them into an affair they both know is forbidden. The premise also describes the king as a husband who could never please her.
So the drama mixes a stepmother story with myth: gods, dreams, a palace and a king. The shared dreams make the affair feel fated rather than chosen. The premise names Theron and Lysandra; the king is only ever the king. Candy AI credits no one in the cast.
Scale and tone
The story runs five short AI episodes. Episode 1 is about 1:10 and is built like an epic in miniature: a dream sequence, a homecoming, a banquet, and a tense meeting at the end. The tone is grand and serious, with gold light, marble halls and long looks.
Episode 1: the homecoming
After a few dreamlike close-ups, the story arrives at the palace. At about 0:18, in a marble hall, Theron in his red cloak stands before his armoured father and the new queen, whose gown is white and plum. A few seconds later, still in the hall, comes a kiss in gold light, the most intimate moment of the episode. Around 0:38 the scene moves to a long banquet table loaded with fruit and gold dishes, where an older woman in a veil and grey robe speaks and the king looks on, unsmiling. Then, at about 0:50, the queen, now wearing a golden crown, stands beside the prince with a golden cup nearby; she looks down while he turns away. Everyone stays in period costume. At the close of the episode the prince and the queen stand opposite each other, the air between them tense, until she looks straight into the camera.

Worth the crown?
Worth it if you want a forbidden-love story with a fantasy setting, a marble palace and a father who is also the king.
Skip it if you prefer modern, everyday settings, or more than a kiss in the free episode. My Father’s New Queen is the other royal stepmother drama, darker and with a spy, and Sworn to the Queen stays at court too.
