A wedding with a stand-in groom
Ava is about to get married, and her fiancé keeps missing everything. He cannot make a single part of the wedding preparations, so someone else has to step in. That someone is Leo, her stepbrother.
He takes the groom’s place for the vows, for the kiss and for the dress. The premise trails off at the wedding night, which tells you where the story is heading. The conflict is the obvious one. Every stand-in moment makes Leo look more like the man she is marrying, while the real groom is never around.
Ava and Leo are the two named characters. Candy AI credits Lea Fontaine in the cast.
One dressing room, five episodes
The story is told in five episodes, with the wedding as the clock behind them. Episode 1 runs 1:24 and stays almost entirely in a bright bridal dressing room where gowns hang on rails.
The tone mixes flirting and comedy. Leo treats his stand-in job as a bit of a performance, and Ava seems amused. For nearly all of episode 1 Ava wears a white lace slip with a semi-sheer bodice; no one is undressed beyond that.
The bride and her stand-in in episode 1
The episode opens on the bride before the groom’s replacement arrives. At 0:00 Ava stands among the gown racks in her white lace slip, one hand on her waist, and a man appears in the doorway. It looks like the start of a fitting, not of a romance.
The awkward part follows. From about 0:13 Ava talks to the camera and fixes the strap of her slip, while Leo, in a green linen shirt over a white T-shirt, stands right next to her and keeps his eyes elsewhere. He is meant to play the groom, but at this point he can hardly look at her, and the rest of the episode slowly closes that distance.
Two free episodes, then tokens

Say yes to it?
Worth it if you like a countdown to a wedding and a substitute whose role may not stay a rehearsal for long. Two free episodes and 36 tokens get you to the end.
Skip it if one room for most of the first episode sounds too static, or if the jokes would break the mood for you. Lea Fontaine is also credited in Family Reunion: My New Step-Cousin, and the guide to AI dramas explains how Candy Shorts work.
