A new face at the ranch
The family has gathered at a ranch for a reunion, and there are new relatives to meet. One of them is Jake, Lea’s new step-cousin. Lea came with her boyfriend, but he is busy with other things, and she finds Jake more interesting than she expected. She makes up her mind to enjoy herself and find out a lot more about him.
The conflict is a love triangle at a family occasion: Lea, the boyfriend who is around but not paying attention, and the new step-cousin. Lea and Jake are the names the premise gives. Candy AI credits Lea Fontaine in the cast.
How the story is told
Five short episodes tell the story. Episode 1 lasts about 1:03, starting in a barn full of saddles and ending on the ranch porch at sunset. The tone is relaxed and warm, more summer romance than thriller, with the risk of being seen always nearby. A reunion means a crowd: relatives, a boyfriend, people who could walk into any room. Most of what happens between Lea and Jake happens in the gaps, behind barn doors and on a porch away from the others.
Episode 1 on the ranch
At about 0:08 the camera looks between the two barn doors, which stand slightly apart. Lea is inside, in denim shorts and a white tank top, and she turns toward the camera and smiles. She looks as if she knows she is being watched.
The second moment is on the porch, from about 0:40. Lea, now in a fitted black dress, sits close beside a man on the porch at golden hour. They lean together and nearly kiss, and then someone steps into the doorway behind them. The episode stops there. Her bare back in the opening seconds is the most revealing shot; there is no nudity.
