A rule nobody is supposed to break
The new police chief arrives with one rule: if an officer touches her, he is out of the force and facing charges. Then Chief Vera Lancaster chooses who will work her night detail, and she chooses the rookie that no other officer wanted. From then on every shift puts his career at risk, and she keeps pushing him to cross the line she drew herself.
The conflict is a rule set by the person who keeps pushing against it. She holds the power; he stands to lose everything. The premise names only Vera Lancaster. Candy AI credits no one in the cast.
A short, brisk opener
There are five short AI episodes. Episode 1 runs about 56 seconds, so it is brisk: a briefing, a corridor, a choice, and a final word in her office. The tone is a workplace power game in uniform, played straight, with Vera addressing the camera directly more than once. The episode belongs to her: the rookie is mostly seen in close-ups standing beside her.
Episode 1 at the station
It begins at 0:00 in a briefing room, with Vera pointing at the seated officers. Much of the rest of the first minute is about the station itself. At about 0:16 the camera follows boots across the carpet and into a corridor with a front desk, which sets the place before anyone explains the rules. A short exchange follows in the corridor around 0:25, where a blonde officer warns a male colleague with a raised finger. The closing shot comes around 0:52: Vera is in her office, among the bookshelves, hands on hips as she speaks to camera. Everyone stays in uniform; her shirt, worn open low throughout, is the most revealing detail.
Watching the whole drama
Episode 1 needs no account on Candy AI. Episode 2 opens with a free account. The remaining three episodes cost 12 tokens each, 36 tokens altogether (prices checked on Candy AI on 6 November 2026). Premium is not involved.
Is it worth it?
Worth it if you like an authority figure who sets the trap herself, and a forbidden-attraction story built on a rule rather than on a family tie.
Skip it if you want a longer opener or more heat early; episode 1 is mostly the station and the setup. Sworn to the Queen is built on the same kind of rule, set in a castle, and the AI drama guide explains how these short series are told.
